The Artist Is Present

The artist known as BGN, is actually Vincent Perraglio, a 30-something year old digital artist from Española, New Mexico. Originally started out drawing buildings, cities, all sorts of architectural drawings as a kid, but can now be found doing artwork of anthropomorphic characters and more!

What is Anthro Art?

Anthro artwork or more officially anthropomorphic artwork, is essentially drawing animals or objects with human-like features and proportions. Most characters within the furry community tend to have some level of anthropomorphism, which varies greatly from artistic styles to what a commissioner wishes to commission from an artist. There is no limitation to what can be subjected to anthropomorphism! The sky's the limit.

What is BGN?

BGN, or Blue-Guy-Now, is a nickname that came about during my high school years. The name comes from a little blue Tamagatchi toy that used to make his way into my drawings and doodles. This little "Blue Guy" could always be found somewhere hiding in my doodles and artwork.

“Blue Guy” became part of my identity and my own little brand at the time, which in addition lead to “now” being added on to the name. Eventually Blue Guy appeared less and less in my work, but as I developed my own style and my own original characters, I still kept the BGN name.

Bull Guy Now, Today’s BGN

You may have seen a certain White and Blue-splotched bull in BGN’s artwork. This is Vonce, BGN’s own personal “fursona”, a anthropomorphic character that represents the artist. Found throughout BGN’s work, he’s the new and current “Blue Guy” now. ;)
